Public Service Counsel, Director of Global Pro Bono
Laura Atkinson-Hope serves as the Public Service Counsel, Director of Global Pro Bono for Latham & Watkins and is responsible for managing, coordinating, and advancing the firm’s worldwide pro bono practice and global citizenship efforts. Her particular focus is on US immigration law, supporting the firm’s sustainability initiatives, and structuring pro bono partnerships with the firm’s commercial clients.
Ms. Atkinson-Hope is a member of the Advisory Board of the International Refugee Assistance Project and served for three years on the Executive Committee of the Association of Pro Bono Counsel, a global network to increase access to justice through the delivery of pro bono services. She is also a member of Law 360's Access to Justice Editorial Advisory Board.
Ms. Atkinson-Hope joined the firm’s New York office as an associate in the Finance Department in 2013, where she represented corporate borrowers and financial institutions in leveraged finance transactions.
Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Ms. Atkinson-Hope worked at another global law firm in New York.
