Dr. Joscha Müller advises clients on infrastructure and energy projects, encompassing early project development phases as well as M&A transactions and investment scenarios.

Mr. Müller studied law at the University of Giessen and at the University of Nottingham. During his PhD-research he focused on new developments in the regulation and protection of foreign direct investments.

He served his legal traineeship (Referendariat) at international law firms in Frankfurt and at the financial law division of the European Central Bank.

Prior to joining Latham in 2023, Joscha Müller worked at a leading international law firm in the practice areas of project finance and M&A.

  • iCON Infrastructure continuously on infrastructure transactions, including the successful acquisition of Strategic Fiber Networks Group*
  • Digital Transformation Capital Partners (DTCP) on:
    • The acquisition of a majority shareholding in maincubes
    • All agreements for a several million HP construction project with a leading telecoms business*
  • UBS Asset Management on:
    • The acquisition of FttH business LuneCom, being the first German infrastructure equity investment by UBS*
    • The acquisition of sewikom*
  • DIF Capital Partners on several fiber transactions, including the:
    • Investment in metrofibre, a platform to build out fiber networks across Germany
    • Investment ruhrfibre, a platform to build out a fiber network in the City of Essen
    • Ongoing support on fiber build out matters
  • Sellers on the disposal of all shares in fiber businesses Netcom Kassel and Breitband Nordhessen*
  • Commerz Real AG on the acquisition of several wind farm projects in Finland
  • Prologis on the development of rooftop PV-systems for a number of logistic sites in Germany
  • Intermediate Capital Group on its acquisition of sdt.net AG
  • NorthC Group on several data center transactions, including the:
    • Acquisition of Netrics Group
    • Acquisition of a data center in Switzerland
  • InfraRed Capital partners on several transactions, including the:
    • Investment in Deutsche GigaNetz
    • Investment in and development of data center platform NexSpace
    • Investment in the German B247 road project*
