Benjamin Carale is a partner in the Hong Kong office. Mr. Carale focuses on corporate finance and securities transactions, including high yield debt offerings, initial public offerings, and liability management transactions. Mr. Carale has represented issuers and underwriters in international bond and equity issuances, including medium term note programs, initial public offerings, top-up equity placements, rights offerings, and block trades, in the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the PRC, covering distribution to international investors pursuant to Rule 144A or Regulation S. Mr. Carale also has experience advising on cross-border M&A transactions.

Qualified in New York, the Philippines, and Hong Kong, Mr. Carale’s experience working in New York, the Philippines, and Hong Kong gives him a unique perspective on international capital markets work and other transactions.

Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Carale worked for four years in the Hong Kong office of another US law firm, and prior to that time, for three years in a leading law firm in New York. He also practiced for several years in a leading law firm in the Philippines.
