Latham Advises on Sterling and Wilson’s Qualified Institutional Placement

Firm represents bookrunning lead managers on issuance by global renewable EPC solutions provider.

Latham & Watkins has advised the bookrunning lead managers, Nuvama Wealth Management Limited and DAM Capital Advisors Limited, on the INR 1500 Crore (US$180 million) Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) by Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited.

The Latham team was led by Singapore partner Rajiv Gupta, with Singapore associate Esha Goel. Advice was also provided on U.S. tax matters by New York partner Jiyeon Lee-Lim and Chicago partner Rene de Vera, with London associate Farrah Yan.


Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) is a global pure-play, end-to-end renewable engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) solutions provider. The company provides EPC services for utility-scale solar, floating solar, and hybrid and energy storage solutions and has a total portfolio of 13.6 GWp (including projects commissioned and under various stages of construction). SWREL also manages an operation and maintenance (O&M) portfolio of around 7 GWp solar power projects, including for projects constructed by third parties.
