Matthew C. Dewitz, Co-Chair of the New York Tax Department, practices transactional tax on a wide range of matters, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, financings, restructurings, and other transactions in both the private and public markets.

Mr. Dewitz has represented a large number of US and international companies (both public and private), private equity firms, other investment funds, financial institutions, and other clients in connection with a wide range of M&A transactions, joint ventures, tax-free reorganizations, spin-offs, restructurings, and related transactions.

  • Acquisition by Anaqua, a portfolio company of Astorg Asset Management, of O P Solutions, a provider of IP management software and practice automation
    Sale by One Equity Partners of Zodiac Systems, a provider of cloud and device software and engineering services for Tier 1 media and telecom operators, to Orion Innovations
  • Acquisition by IQ-EQ, a portfolio company of Astorg, of Blue River Partners, a provider of outsourced solutions to alternative asset managers
  • Acquisition by Endeavor of On Location Events, a provider of ticketing, hospitality, live event production, and travel management services to the sports and entertainment industries
