Loren Finegold is a partner in the New York office of Latham & Watkins. Mr. Finegold is a member of the firm's Finance Department and of the Banking, Capital Markets, Derivatives, and Structured Finance & Securitization Practices. He currently serves as Global Vice Chair of the Structured Finance & Securitization Practice. He advises financial institutions, investment advisers, US and offshore funds, issuers, borrowers, institutional investors, and other parties in connection with a broad range of complex financial transactions, with a particular emphasis on securitization, derivatives, and structured products.
Mr. Finegold’s experience includes, among others, the securitization and other asset-based financing of cellular towers and other telecommunications assets, leveraged loans (including CLOs and credit opportunities and distressed debt funds), commercial mortgages (including CMBS, and repos and other warehouse financing transactions), trade receivables, aircraft and aircraft leases, rental car fleet leases, structured settlements, and other assets.
Mr. Finegold regularly advises clients on the use of derivatives for hedging and investment purposes, and in the development of related derivative and other structured products, including credit-linked note programs; fund-linked derivatives; single-name and portfolio credit default swaps; and total return swaps, options, interest rate, currency and commodity derivatives, and related products.
Mr. Finegold also has substantial experience with repackaging transactions, letters of credit, and other types of third-party credit enhancement, and has done extensive work in connection with the workout, restructuring, and liquidation of distressed financial and derivative assets.
Mr. Finegold was recognized in The Legal 500 US 2022 as a recommended lawyer in Structured Finance: Securitization.
