Emil George is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Corporate Department.

Mr. George has a broad corporate practice covering a range of matters including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, reorganizations, and general corporate advice.

Prior to joining Latham, Mr. George worked in the London and Dubai offices of a Magic Circle firm and also spent time on secondment to Marks and Spencer Group.

Mr. George’s experience includes advising:

  • Savvy Games Group on its US$4.9 billion acquisition of Scopely, Inc.
  • Savvy Games Group on its acquisition of 8.8% of Embracer Group for US$1 billion
  • Lowell Group on the acquisition of Hoist Finance UK 
  • Sumo Group on its £919 million recommended cash acquisition by Tencent Holdings*
  • Samsung Life Insurance on the acquisition of a minority interest in, and its US$1 billion seed capital commitment to, Savills Investment Management*
  • SGS on the €550 million acquisition of Synlab Analytics & Services*
  • Electrocomponents on its placing and retail offer to raise gross proceeds of approximately £180 million*
