Andy Lundberg retired from the partnership in November 2017. He focused in the areas of insurance coverage litigation and civil appeals. Mr. Lundberg is the former global Co-chair of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Practice and was previously Chair of the Los Angeles Litigation & Trial Department.

Mr. Lundberg has represented clients in major insurance coverage disputes, including:

  • Directors and officers liability
  • Product liability
  • Media liability
  • Environmental and mass tort liability
  • Employment practices liability
  • Crime/fidelity coverage
  • Business interruption and property loss
  • Defamation/invasion of privacy
  • Financial insurance
  • Captive insurers/"self insurance"

Mr. Lundberg has litigated coverage actions in state and federal courts nationwide. He has resolved hundreds of other coverage disputes, ranging from toxic mold contamination and employment discrimination class actions to earthquake losses, through negotiation and mediation. Mr. Lundberg has counseled on issues involving the chemical, manufacturing, consulting, energy, entertainment, real estate, educational and other fields, and regularly consults on mergers and acquisitions and bankruptcy matters. His clients have included Chevron, Ford Motor Company, America Online, Ernst & Young LLP, US Airways, GlaxoSmithKline, Silicon Valley Bank, Beckman Coulter, Southern California Edison and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

At the time of his retirement, Mr. Lundberg was ranked Band 1 by Chambers USA, both in California and nationally, as a leading policyholder lawyer. In 2014, Chambers USA recognized him as “extremely bright, and highly experienced with the ability to come up with creative solutions for the policyholder.” Mr. Lundberg was also named a leading insurance attorney by the following publications: The Legal 500 US, The Best Lawyers in America, Guide to the World's Leading Insurance & Reinsurance Lawyers and Super Lawyers.
