Latham & Watkins Advises Origis Energy in Project Financing for Rice Creek, a Florida Municipal Solar Project

Origis Energy, one of America’s leading renewable energy and decarbonization solution platforms, announced the close of a US$136 million construction and term loan facility with MUFG, a leading global financial group, for its Rice Creek Solar project under construction in Putnam County, Florida, for the Florida Municipal Power Agency and its members.

Latham & Watkins LLP advised Origis Energy in the transaction with a project development and finance team led by New York partners Warren Lilien and Kelly Cataldo, and Los Angeles counsel Stephen Yeh, with associate Julia Chen. Advice was also provided on tax matters by New York partner Eli Katz, with associate Michael Zucker; and on hedging matters by New York partner Yvette Valdez, with associates Naffie Lamin and Mia Stefanou.
