The firm was recognized as a Pro Bono Innovator for its dedication to pro bono work, including our Supreme Court victory in Perez v. Sturgis Public Schools and support of Afghan asylees.

For the second year in a row, Bloomberg Law has honored Latham with its Pro Bono Innovators award for the firm’s dedication to pro bono in helping serve the underserved.

The Pro Bono Innovators award highlighted our unanimous Supreme Court victory in Perez v. Sturgis Public Schools that ensures children with disabilities who were denied an adequate public school education can pursue all remedies available under federal anti-discrimination law, as well as our firmwide effort to help evacuated Afghan asylees arriving in the United States.

“We are proud of the dedication of our lawyers and staff who donate their time to participate in pro bono work,” said Laura Atkinson-Hope, Public Service Counsel and Director of Global Pro Bono at Latham. “It is an honor to once again be recognized by Bloomberg Law, and we applaud all those commended for their dedication to public service.”
