Latham & Watkins Advises Performance Livestock Analytics in Funding and Separation From Zoetis

Performance Livestock Analytics (PLA), an independent precision livestock platform using cattle data and analytics to improve beef management, saving time and boosting profitability for feedlots, has announced a funding round led by Builders VC. In addition, PLA has separated from animal health company Zeotis, which had previously acquired PLA in 2020. PLA plans to accelerate the growth of its data analytics platform for livestock farming and expand to new markets with the funding.

Latham & Watkins LLP represented PLA in the financing with a corporate team led by Bay Area partner Ben Potter, with associates Tulin Gurer and Kayleigh Kuyon.

Additionally, Latham represented Builders VC and PLA founders Dane Kuper and Dustin Balsley in the acquisition of Performance Livestock Analytics from Zoetis, with a corporate team led by Bay Area partner Ben Potter, with associates Stella Lee and Tulin Gurer.
