Copyright Litigator Selected for Leadership Music’s Class of 2024

June 9, 2023
Bay Area partner Joe Wetzel selected for prestigious program for established leaders in the music industry.

Joe Wetzel, a partner in the Connectivity, Privacy & Information Practice, has been selected for Leadership Music’s Class of 2024, a nationwide program for established music industry leaders from diverse professional and personal backgrounds within all areas of the music industry. In its 34th year, the eight-month long Leadership Music program promotes “teamwork, camaraderie and dialogue among industry leaders; expanding the talent pool of leadership in the community; and exposing class participants to varying points of view and philosophies.” Educational sessions within the program provide a forum for leaders to explore almost every segment of the music business, identify issues within the industry, and build lasting relationships with classmates and the over 1,300 alumni. Latham is the only law firm represented in this year’s class.

Wetzel, a first-chair trial lawyer whose practice focuses on cutting-edge music and software copyright issues, represents clients from emerging companies to the biggest household names. He also serves as Co-Chair of the Bay Area Litigation & Trial Department.

New York partner Alli Stillman, a fellow Connectivity, Privacy & Information Practice lawyer focusing on copyright law, is a member of the Leadership Music Class of 2022.
