London partner David Ziyambi and associate Leah Adeniran, and Washington, D.C. business professional Allegra Tomassa Massaro have been recognised in the Empower Role Model Lists 2023. The annual lists showcase leaders who are breaking down barriers and smashing the ceiling for people of color within global business.

Ziyambi has been honoured as an Empower Top 100 Executive for the second time. The publication commended Ziyambi for his commitment to developing Black talent in the legal industry and wider business, including founding Latham's Black Lawyers Group (BLG), an ecosystem focused on recruiting, retaining, and progressing Black lawyers; leading pro bono initiatives supporting Black communities; and mentoring lawyers and young people, particularly from minority backgrounds.

Adeniran and Massaro have been named Top 100 Future Leaders. The publication highlighted Adeniran’s role as Co-Chair of the London BLG and praised her role in leading a number of impactful initiatives, including organising financial literacy sessions for BLG members and participating in the BLG's award-winning mentoring programme. Massaro earned recognition as an inaugural global leader of Latham’s Black Staff Affinity Group and has provided strategic support as a coordinator and subcommittee member of the BLG, including leading client and community engagement initiatives for recent group retreats. In addition, she is Co-Founder of Fuel the People, a food justice organization that partners with Black and POC chefs and restaurants to combat food insecurity in Washington, D.C. and New York City.
