Latham & Watkins Advises Lead Arrangers Mufg Bank, Ltd. and CaixaBank, S.A. in Project Financing for Swift Current Energy Wind Project

Multidisciplinary team advised the lead arrangers on the financing for the development of a wind project in Texas.

Swift Current Energy has announced that it has closed project financing for the 197 MW Castle Gap Wind project located in Mills and Lampasas Counties, Texas. The wind project is currently under construction and is expected to commence operations in early 2023.

Latham & Watkins LLP represented coordinating lead arrangers MUFG Bank, Ltd. and CaixaBank, S.A. in the transaction, with a project finance team led by San Diego partner Omar Nazif, with New York associate Annelise Karreman, and San Diego associate Jessi Lietz. Advice was also provided on environmental matters by Los Angeles/Houston counsel Joshua Marnitz; on regulatory matters by Washington, D.C. partner Natasha Gianvecchio; on tax matters by New York partner Eli Katz; and on green loan matters by Dubai partner Edward Kempson.
