Latham Honored for Pro Bono Work in Texas

For the second year in a row, Lone Star Legal Aid has honored Latham & Watkins with its Law Firm Award. Since 1948, Lone Star Legal Aid has provided free legal services to low-income and underserved populations in the Houston area. 

Together this partnership has helped over 35 clients prepare various estate planning documents, including wills, powers of attorney and medical directives, making a lasting impact in the Houston area.

In addition, Houston associates David Stott and Om Pandya received the “Most Cases Handled Award.”

“Giving back is part of our ethos at Latham, and our office is always searching for pro bono work that will have a direct impact in the community. We are so proud to work with Lone Star Legal Aid on matters that change the lives of families and individuals,”  said Houston Office Managing Partner, Sean Wheeler.
