Jim Beaubien retired from the partnership in June 2022. Mr. Beaubien was Of Counsel in the Century City office of Latham & Watkins, where he practiced since 1991. Mr. Beaubien formerly served as Office Managing Partner, as well as Chair of the Corporate Department, in the Los Angeles office. His practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and public companies.
Mr. Beaubien represented strategic and financial buyers and sellers in public and private transactions. He also advised clients on corporate governance, takeover defense planning, and securities laws. Mr. Beaubien’s practice spanned a variety of industries, and includes extensive experience in consumer products, media and entertainment, health care, and real estate. His clients include Live Nation, Cerner Corporation, DaVita, Anivive Lifesciences, Mattel, Health Net, Crown Resorts, Farmer Bros., Kilroy Realty, and Moelis & Co.
