CiCi Rotell retired from the partnership in January 2015. Ms. Rotell practiced corporate securities law, with a focus on capital markets transactions and public and private company representation.

Ms. Rotell represented issuers and underwriters in capital markets transactions and had extensive expertise in bond issuances and initial public offerings. She also advised public companies and boards of directors in SEC reporting and corporate governance matters.

Ms. Rotell represented issuers and investment banks in capital markets and acquisition financing transactions, including:

  • Registered and private debt and equity offerings
  • High yield and cross-border financings
  • Corporate restructurings
  • Tender and exchange offers
  • Consent solicitations
  • Spin-offs 

Ms. Rotell had also represented buyers and sellers of businesses, including both financial and strategic investors, in a range of merger and acquisition transactions.

Since 2009, Ms. Rotell was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America survey in the Securities / Capital Markets Law category. She has served as an adjunct professor at the UCLA School of Law, teaching a course on public offerings, and has been a member of numerous firm committees she joined the firm in 1990.
