Latham & Watkins Represents KLYM in Series B Funding Round

January 20, 2023
The US$27 million round is aimed at accelerating the fintech company’s growth in Brazil and setting a path to profitability in 2023.

Latham & Watkins represented KLYM (previously OmniLatam) — a leading fintech company with operations in Colombia, Chile, and Brazil — on the closing of its US$27 million Series B investment round. The round was led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and J.P. Morgan, alongside other investors.

With this round the company has secured US$95 million in equity since it was founded in 2017. In 2022, KLYM launched its Cross Border Supply Chain Finance product in Brazil through a strategic alliance with J.P. Morgan. The company has secured mandates from Brazilian corporates in the agriculture, pharma, and biofuel spaces, where financing is expected to reach US$1 billion in 2023 from existing mandates.

Latham advised KLYM on the transaction with the company’s General Counsel Maria J. Londono. The Latham deal team was led by Bay Area partner Benjamin Potter, New York partner Eli Curi, Washington, D.C. partner Carlos Ardila, and New York counsel Santiago Bejarano, with associates Chris Pham and Claire Bradford Di Caro.
