September 15, 2022
A leading legal publication recognizes Fredrickson for making a “remarkable difference in the legal profession in Texas”.

Recently retired Houston partner, Robin Fredrickson, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Texas Legal Awards on September 14, 2022. This prestigious award honors legal practitioners who have made a lasting imprint on the Texas Legal community, which Fredrickson has done without question in her 30+ year long career as one of the world’s most renowned and preeminent advisors in the energy field, which she discussed in a published profile.

Fredrickson guided clients across industry sectors in their most important and complex transactions through numerous multi-million dollar and billion dollar deals. During her time at Latham, she advised on more than 400 transactions. While on the front lines of the ever-changing and ever-active energy field, Fredrickson built an unmatched track record as a trusted advisor to clients, including exploration and production companies, midstream companies, and private equity clients in mergers and acquisitions, corporate, and oil and gas transactions. She also was involved in a number of secured and unsecured financing transactions in the energy area, including volumetric production payments and other innovative structures used in the oil and gas industry.

There are a limited number of attorneys with Fredrickson’s experience, and even fewer leading women with this experience, making her a true trailblazer in the industry. She played a key role in steering the firm’s work in the energy sector and has made countless contributions to the broader industry. Fredrickson also served and continues to serve as an excellent mentor, freely giving her time and knowledge to next generation of leaders and prior to her retirement, she served on the firm’s Women Enriching Business committee.

Fredrickson has received many well-deserved accolades over the years. She has been recognized by Woman Leader in The Law by The American Lawyer in 2021, Chambers USA from 2010 through 2021, The Legal 500 US from 2016 through 2019, Who’s Who Legal: Energy by Law Business Research Ltd. from 2017 through 2021, Best Lawyers by BL Rankings from 2010 through 2022, Super Lawyers Texas from 2012 through 2019, The International Who's Who* of Oil & Gas Lawyers in 2010, 2011, and 2015, and Guide to the World's Leading Energy Lawyers in the 9th Edition. She was also selected as one of the top 25 influential women in Energy in 2019 by Hart Energy and was recently awarded the Ernest E. Smith Lifetime Achievement Award by the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law in February of 2022.
