Concurrences Honors Latham With 2022 Antitrust Writing Award
Concurrences, the leading French antitrust publication, awarded Brussels partner Carles Esteva Mosso, Paris/Brussels partner Adrien Giraud, and Brussels knowledge management counsel France-Hélène Boret top prize for Business Article – Procedure as part of their 2022 Antitrust Writing Awards (AWA).
Each year, the Concurrences AWA “aims to reward writing, scholarship, originality, practical relevance and the contribution they make to competition advocacy.” Critically, it is the global antitrust community which votes for the winner out of a small pool of finalists chosen by Concurrences editors. For the 2022 AWAs, Concurrences reviewed more than 1,200 submitted articles and tallied more than 20,000 votes across to arrive at its 30 winners.
Latham’s winning piece, Market Definition Notice Under Review, discusses the European Commission’s Staff Working Document, which summarizes the findings of its evaluation of the 1997 Commission Notice on the definition of the relevant market for the purposes of Community competition law.
Additionally, three other Latham-authored thought leadership pieces were named as AWA Finalists:
- Business Articles – Concerted Practices: Key proposals for the UK’s vertical Block exemption successor by London partner David Little and London associates Alexandra Luchian and James Mathieson.
- Business Articles – Digital: Spotlight on Germany: The new digitalization act by Düsseldorf partner Jan Christoph Höft and Düsseldorf associate Fabienne Rotering.
