11 Latham Lawyers Named 2022 Rising Stars

Honoree total is the most among law firms for the second consecutive year.

Eleven talented Latham lawyers with diverse practices in transactional, litigation, and regulatory areas have been named 2022 Rising Stars by Law360 — the most honorees among law firms for the second consecutive year. The annual feature recognizes "attorneys under 40 whose legal accomplishments belie their age," who “were selected based on their career accomplishments in their respective disciplines,” according to Law360, which reviewed more than 1,350 nominations across multiple areas of practice.

The 2022 Latham rising stars honorees are:

Lauren Anderson, a corporate partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice, named in Law360’s Energy category. Based in Houston, she represents participants across the energy industry – from traditional oil and gas to renewables, as well as in the infrastructure sector – with particular experience advising on less conventional joint venture transactions involving a combination of private equity and strategic parties.

Kelly Cataldo, a finance partner in the Project Development & Finance Practice, selected in the Project Finance category. Based in New York, she advises investors, lenders, and sponsors in all phases of the financing and construction of energy projects and infrastructure assets, including for some of the most notable energy transition and renewable energy projects constructed to date. 

Matthew Dewitz, a tax partner in the Transactional Tax Practice, honored in Law360’s Tax category. Based in New York, he counsels clients on the tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, financings, restructurings, capital markets, and other strategic transactions. He regularly develops innovative solutions to address high-stakes and complicated tax issues in some of the largest deals in the market. 

Justin Elliott, a corporate partner in the Real Estate Practice, selected in Law360’s Real Estate category. Based in New York, advises public and private clients on an array of complex commercial real estate transactions, including joint ventures, financings, acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings. 

Nicole Fanjul, a finance partner in the Banking Practice, named in the Banking category. Based in New York, she represents lenders and corporate borrowers in a variety of complex financings, with a particular focus on syndicated leveraged finance and direct lending transactions. She also currently serves as the Deputy Office Managing Partner for the firm’s New York office. 

Andrew Galdes, a litigation and trial counsel in the White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice, selected in the Compliance category. Based in Washington, D.C., he advises clients – including companies, financial institutions, private equity firms, and global private foundations – on compliance and enforcement issues involving US laws and regulations related to economic and trade sanctions, as well as export controls. 

Alison Haggerty, a corporate partner in the Capital Markets Practice, honored in Law360’s Capital Markets category. Based in New York, she advises issuers and investment banking firms in diverse capital markets transactions, with a focus on initial public offerings, follow-on equity offerings, and convertible debt offerings in growth industries. 

Rick Offsay, a corporate partner in the Entertainment, Sports & Media Practice, named in the Media & Entertainment category. Based in Century City, he represents strategic players and financial investors in M&A, debt and equity financing and strategic transactions across the entertainment and media industry, with particular experience structuring joint ventures. 

Robert Price, a litigation and trial partner in the International Arbitration Practice, selected in Law360’s International Arbitration category. Based in London, his practice focuses on commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration, and complex litigation. He has particular experience in complex, cross-border disputes arising out of the oil and gas, power, and construction industries, and he also advises on UN, EU and UK sanctions and export controls. 

Jennifer Roy, a corporate partner in the Environment, Land & Resources Practice, honored in the Environmental category. Based in San Diego, she advises clients on the environmental law aspects of major energy and infrastructure projects, including matters related to power generation, renewable and conventional energy resources, land use entitlements, and environmental diligence. 

Jooyoung Yeu, a litigation and trial partner in the Complex Commercial Litigation Practice, named in the Securities (Litigation) category. Based in New York, she represents large public and private companies, professional services firms, and financial institutions in high-stakes commercial disputes and securities class actions, and she also advises clients in internal and government investigations.
